Why Excavate Before You Excavate?

In the past, visual confirmation of utilities was often as disruptive as actual construction. Digging by hand was slow and laborious and potholing using a backhoe often caused damage to the very utilities you were trying to protect. In the past companies used high pressure water to excavate.  High pressure water can actually damage power and communications lines, and possibly injure employees in the process.

USI uses compressed air to excavate which is much safer than using water.  Compressed air is environmentally friendly, utility safe system, and does not destroy the road base. Using compressed air and vacuum we can visually confirm utility locations and elevation in a fraction of the time of past methods.
